The 2027 Grand Cherokee is worth planning around. Jeep® has expanded the lineup to ten trims, including the new Laredo Upland and the return of the Trail Rated® Trailhawk and the Overland. Laredo and Laredo X move up to a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a new 18-inch wheel design. The Limited picks up rain-sensing wipers, a wireless charging pad, and restyled 20-inch wheels, and the Limited Reserve adds automatic power-folding mirrors. There is a genuinely wider set of choices this year than last, and the trims drawing the most interest — Trailhawk and Overland — join the lineup later in the model year.
That last part matters for anyone in McLeod, Meeker, or Kandiyohi County who has a specific build in mind. If you want a Trailhawk in a particular color, or an Overland with the configuration you have been picturing, telling us now is the difference between ordering it and hoping one shows up.

What can you configure on a 2027 Grand Cherokee?

Engines. The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with Electronic Stop/Start is standard on Laredo and Laredo X, rated at 293 maximum horsepower and 260 lb-ft of maximum torque. The 2.0L Hurricane 4 Turbo is standard on every trim above those two, rated at 324 maximum horsepower and 332 lb-ft of maximum torque. Both engines carry the same best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 6,200 pounds when properly equipped, and the Hurricane pairs with Jeep’s Gen IV automatic transmission.
Drivetrain. The 2027 Grand Cherokee is available in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. For most buyers around Hutchinson, that decision makes itself somewhere around the first week of December, but it is worth talking through based on where you actually drive.
Seating. The two-row Grand Cherokee seats five. If you need more than that, the three-row Grand Cherokee L seats up to seven, with second-row seats that fold down and slide forward for third-row access. Tell us which one you are after when you reserve — they are different vehicles to order.
Colors. Bright White, Steel Blue, Copper Shino, and Fathom Blue carry into 2027, joined by High Gloss Black and Sting Gray. Six more — Ghost, Red Hot, Olive Green, Midnight Sky, Ember, and Red Rock — arrive later in the model year. Inside, Global Black is offered across the lineup, Wicker Beige is available on the Laredo, and the Summit offers Tupelo and Black.
